General Flight Guidelines are as follows as per SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA): 

• Stay 50m at all times from any roads or people
• No flying at night or in any SAN Park areas (Nature Reserves)
• No flying drones heavier than 7kgs or higher than 120m
• Drone needs to be flown in line of sight

No flying in restricted areas such as:

• Near manned aircraft
• Controlled, Restricted, and Prohibited Airspaces

Please note:

• Negligent drone operation may result in fines and prosecution by SAPS.
• If you want to use your drone for commercial purposes, you'll need a Remote Pilots License (RPL) as well as a Remote Operating Certificate (ROC).
• Charging someone for your services without the above may result in a large fine from the SACAA and SAPS.
